Remote Area Trekking Region Some of the areas at the trans-Himalayan border in Nepal are quite remote and least explored. Trekking to these areas by foreigners requires special permits and it should be full board camping with large number of trekking crew. Trekkers must be fully equipped with tents, all necessary camping equipment,   camping crew that includes a guide, sirdar, porters, cook, kitchen helpers etc. Though trekking to such remote areas is a relatively challenging but full of adventure and excitement. The people living in this region are of Tibetan origin and have followed Buddhism since time immemorial. The people are living in the isolated settlements and out of reach from modernization. The road infrastructure is still lacking. The local inhabitants in the region have preserved their age old culture, tradition and their lifestyle resembling to the ancient peoples. Trekking to this remote area offers opportunities to visit ancient villages, high passes, beautiful lakes, isolated monasteries and also to experience the vast array of wildlife inhabiting the region, including Blue Sheep, Mountain goat, Jackal, wolf & the legendary snow leopard. The monasteries and temples in the region are worth to visit here. Some of the popular remote areas for trekking are Upper and lower Dolpo, Upper Mustang region, Manaslu region, Makalu region, Kanchenjunga region and some others. These remote areas are termed as the hidden treasures in the context of trekking in Nepal Himalayas.
