Himalayan Glimpse Adventure has its own responsible travel policy not similar to other trekking and travel companies in Nepal. We believe throughout the Himalayan destinations where we operate our trips should be culturally, economically and environmentally well protected and preserved so as to benefit the local communities. By using local guides carefully, we aim to ensure that local communities and wildlife sanctuaries ultimately benefit through our endeavors. We keep the trails clean and undisturbed for our future generations. We do respect and strictly follow the values and responsible travel principles. Only responsibly managed, eco tourism can provide incomes to poorer communities living in the remote Himalayan regions.
We believe that eco-tourism can play a significant role in the daily lives of Himalayan people across Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan. We give more value especially to remote and lesser recognized areas of the Himalayan regions in preserving local culture, heritage and uplift the local economy.
We encourage our clients to have a 'traveler' mindset as opposed to a 'tourist' mentality and to travel with an open mind. This helps ensure meaningful and dignified cultural exchanges between local people and travelers as opposed to simply visits in the areas. We want our clients get a true understanding of the country they’re visiting and at the same time generate direct and sustainable benefits for local communities. We believe giving something back to the local communities is important. Wherever possible we accommodate our clients family owned lodges, have traditional meals and use only local guides, whom we pay a fair wage.
