Rolwaling is one of the most beautiful valleys in Nepal. Situated just south of Tibetan border, at the base of Rolwaling Himalayan Mountain, it is completely isolated and culturally diverse valley. The most popular villages along the trekking route in the Rolwaling valley are Beding (3510m) and Na Gaun (4120m).Both these villages are inhabited by Sherpa ethnic community. During the trek it is worth experiencing traditional Sherpa culture and lifestyle. After two days trek from Na Gaun along the rugged glacier, you will cross over Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m), the most difficult pass of Rolwaling region and traverse into the Thame Valley of the Everest region. From Thame we descend to Lukla to catch the flight back to Kathmandu. Trekkers may spend a few days in the Rolwaling area and make excursion to Na Yak pastures at the elevation of 4700m. From this vantage point trekkers can see a spectacular panorama of the Gauri Shanker and Menlungtse Peaks.
Above Na Gaun , the trail winds up to a high lake named Chodalpa (4540m) and further up the lateral moraines of the Rolwaling glacier below the Rolwaling Icefall (5181m). After two days trek along the rugged glacier, you will reach the high Tashi Lapcha Pass (5755m). On the other side of the Tashi Lapcha, the trail descends to Thame village (3790m) in the Khumbu region. From here, you will follow the Everest Base camp trail , and then fly back to Katmandu from Lukla.
The last human lodgings of the valley you can find in Na, which is located about three hours' distance from Beding. From here you have an overwhelming view of the mountain-giants Chekigo (6735 m), Bamongo (6400 m), Kang Nachugo (6735 m), and above all, Tsoboje (6689 m). From here we head to Tashi Laptsa, the most difficult pass of this region.
