Trip Overview

The Arun Valley is a non- touristic area blessed with an incredible diversity of natural beauty and culture. We do not encounter a crowd of tourists on the trail like in the Everest and Annapurna regions in Nepal. Trekking to Arun Valley is much enjoyable due to beautiful scenery of the area and mesmerizing views of .Everest, Makalu, and hundreds of other snowy peaks in the distance. The tempting views of Arun River and valley cannot be missed during the trek.  The trekking trail passes through the upper Hongu valley, Sedua and Num villages, crosses Barun La pass (4110m) while viewing two highest mountains- Mt. Everest and Makalu. Nepal's prominent ethnic groups of people such as Sherpa, Rai and Limbus permanently inhabit in this region.

Arun valley trekking begins with a 35 –minute flight from Kathmandu to Biratnagar & drive to Hille. From Hille we  trek to Mongmaya Khola and ends at Lukla, .Then we take flight  back to Kathmandu. Arun valley trek is organized in full board camping with the support of trekking crew and logistics..There are no tea houses (lodges) facilities available along the trail in Arun valley. February to May and August to December is the best season for Arun valley trek. If you need more information about Arun valley trek, please feel free to contact us.
