Kalinchowk- Dolakha trekking is named after Bhagwati Temple, a Hindu shrine, located in Dolkha district of Nepal. This trek is popular for its natural beauty with the panoramic views of Annapurna, Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Lanjung, Jugal Himal, Shisha Panga, Gauri Shankar. Besides, we can also explore the local culture of the area. The trek begins at Barabise after 4 hours drive from Kathmandu. During the trek you pass through some villages mainly inhabited by different ethnic people of Nepal. You can explore some religious sites and experience medieval culture while trekking.
Another attraction of Kalinchowk trek is that you can visit Kalinchok Bhagawati temple situated at the altitude of 3800m from sea-level. Besides, you can view of the illuminated Kathmandu valley at night from Kalinchok hilltop. Those who go for Kalinchok Bhagawati temple can experience a serene environment all through. Even the novice trekkers can go for this trek. Those who are physically fit and mentally prepared can undertake these newly opened trekking trail. This trek covers a part of Gaurishankar Conservation Area from where two rivers Sun Kosi and Tama Kosi river are originated. Do not forget to carry a daypack as there is no restaurants available along the trail. This trek can be organized only on camping basis.
