Annapurna Circuit trekking is one of the world's most well known treks.. This classic trek has attracted thousands of trekkers since it was first opened in the late 1970s. It offers a great introduction of the Annapurna region combining diverse geographical, ethnic groups with their culture and religion variation, pristine nature, mountains scenery, amazing range of flora and fauna and so on .
The trek begins at Besi Sahar, heading north up the Marshyandi river valley, through lush green foothills and terraced rice fields. As we gently walk higher altitude , you will see alpine forests and ultimately reach at a dry desert region called Manang, where you will experience Tibetan Buddhist culture and traditional lifestyle of the people. Along the trail, you will observe different aspects of attractions which make you more exciting and feel good, picturesque villages, waterfalls, cliffs, various ethnic groups of Nepal particularly Gurungs, Thakali & Manangba, spectacular sights of prominent mountains such as Annapurna, Dhaulagiri Machhapuchhre, Manaslu, Gangapurna and Tilicho from the very close quarters, a moonscape of barren land at Manang, deep forested ridges, various species of flora and fauna. You will be more exciting as you slowly gain altitude from sub-tropical lowland altitude of 1000 m to the highest elevation at 5416 m on the Thorung La Pass, and this Pass, is of course, very important point of the entire Annapurna Circuit trek. When you step foot at Thorung La Pass and look around, you will realize that you are being encircled by the Annapurna massif. Before going over the Pass, you need to spend a couple of days at Manang village to acclimatize and make preparations.
